About the Founder

I’m Paula Perez, founder of Vivid Spanish.

Born and raised in Barcelona, I am a certified Primary School Teacher specializing in foreign languages, and I hold a Master’s in Psychopedagogy. Over the years, I have taught Spanish and English as a second language in schools and companies, working with children, teenagers, and adults. I have also helped schools design academic curricula and language department programming, ensuring effective language learning and engaging teaching methods.

As a teenager, I experienced language immersion programs myself — and I witnessed firsthand how transformative they can be. Those experiences shaped my confidence, independence, and global perspective.

Later, after living in the United States, I began helping teens participate in international exchanges and cultural immersion experiences. Through that work, I saw how powerful — and how carefully planned — a first international experience must be to be safe and meaningful.

Vivid Spanish was created to offer something different from mass educational tourism: a small, carefully curated, educator-led immersion program where teens feel safe, supported, and truly immersed in the culture of Barcelona.

My goal is not just language learning — it’s personal growth, independence, and confidence in a secure and nurturing environment.

Our story

Vivid Spanish was born from a simple belief: language learning should be an adventure, not just a classroom exercise.

Barcelona isn't just our location; it's our expertise. We've spent years building relationships with local families and crafting experiences that go beyond typical educational tourism. Every host family is carefully selected, every activity purposefully designed, and every detail thoughtfully considered; a program where teenagers don't just learn Spanish, they live it.

We're not running a mass-market program. We're creating personalized journeys where each student is known, cared for, and genuinely immersed in the Spanish way of life.
